While we were on vacation in San Diego this Summer I watched with pride as many of our Naval vessels came into port or left for active duty. All were enormous carrying many hundreds of sailors! As I watched them sail silently past it gave me a real understanding of our country’s strength and a feeling of patriotism....one that extended far, far beyond just the Fourth of July fireworks. So, I picked up my needle and thread and the result is this patriotic sampler in softened shades of Red, White and Blue.
